Meet Lisa Smith, Music Director for "Amahl and the Night Visitors"

Habersham Community Theater is excited to bring the first operatic production to the Kollock stage with the tales of nativity and epiphany, Amahl and the Night Visitors. HCT's Christmas production is under the music direction of Lisa Smith.

Lisa Smith, a local business owner, musician, and vocal coach, first appeared on the HCT stage this past summer as Aunt Eller in the much-acclaimed musical, Oklahoma! In Amahl and the Night Visitors, she is thrilled to bring what she considers a beautiful musical presentation of the gospel, delivered through a heart-warming story. Lisa stated, "I love the message that this show brings during the Christmas season, and the vocalists in this show are extremely talented. I also feel honored to help present the first operatic type musical at HCT, and given the music is in English, this represents a wonderful educational opportunity for our community. I believe that everyone that comes will find this show to be a meaningful experience in their holiday season."

Under the direction of John Preece, Gian Carlo Menotti's musical and emotional delight, Amahl and the Night Visitors, opens December 5th.

Performances are December 5-7, 12-14 at 7:30 pm, and December 8 and 15 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, and $12 for children and full-time students. To purchase, please call (706) 839-1315 or order online.
