Miriam Chastain Stars as the Mother in "Amahl and the Night Visitors"

If you enjoy an exquisite vocal performance, you don't want to miss Miriam Chastain in Amahl and the Night Visitors. Miriam, along with an extremely talented cast, will brighten your holiday season with HCT's latest Christmas production slated to open Thursday, December 5th.

Miriam grew up performing on stage as part of Play on Players Children's Theatre in Gainesville, Georgia. A gifted vocalist and talented actress, Miriam first starred on the Kollock stage in Sweet Charity in 2018 and most recently she appeared in Oliver! Both performances showcased her extraordinary talent in capturing an audience with her beautiful voice.

However, Miriam believes her current role as the Mother in Amahl and the Night Visitors is her most challenging, as both an actress and a vocalist. Miriam stated, "I have fallen in love with this amazing musical score, and the challenge of delivering this to an audience has been such an awesome experience. But it's not just the music. I have also found it very emotional to perform the role of Amahl's mother.  This is without question the most powerful and meaningful story I have every been part of in a theatrical production."

Tickets are selling fast for what will be a fabulous Christmas musical at HCT. Director John Preece commented, "This is going to be a truly special show as the music and the story will be meaningful to all of our patrons."

Performances are December 5-7, 12-14 at 7:30 pm, and December 8 and 15 at 2:00 pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, and $12 for children and full-time students. To purchase, please call (706) 839-1315 or order online at www.habershamcommunitytheater.com.
